At Gaisce – The President’s Award, we believe that every story is unique, every experience is valuable, and every challenge you’ve conquered should be celebrated. We’re thrilled to introduce Gaisce Stories – a platform dedicated to showcasing the remarkable achievements of our Participants, President’s Award Leaders and Awardees. By sharing your experience, you’ll be inspiring others who are new to Gaisce, choosing their Challenge Area activities or considering progressing to the next Award Level.
What to write?
What you write is up to you but it may be helpful to think about what would have helped you when you started your Gaisce journey. You can speak as an individual or as a group.
Discovering Gaisce – How did you hear about Gaisce and what motivated you to register?
Starting Your Journey – What were your initial thoughts and were you excited or nervous? What Award Level did you choose?
Choosing Challenge Areas – What led you to the activities you chose? Did you have prior experience or was it all new for you?
Conquering Challenges and Embracing Joys – What was the most challenging aspect of your Gaisce experience? How did you overcome it? Equally, what brought you immense joy and a sense of accomplishment? What advice would you give others?
Gaisce’s Impact on You – Has doing Gaisce impacted you in ways you hadn’t anticipated? Has it helped you gain skills, ignite a newfound passion, boost your confidence or realise your potential? Would you recommend Gaisce to others? Are you considering going for the next Award Level? Want to shout out your PAL?
A Gaisce Event to Remember – If your Gaisce group organised a Gaisce event, share the story behind it and any outcomes that it had. We love to hear about Gaisce bake sales, art exhibitions, music showcases, etc.
The Power of Visual Storytelling – Providing visual media with your story makes it even more impactful. Whether it’s a snapshot of a community service project, a video from your adventure journey, or a series of images showcasing your skill development – it would be great to see. Just ensure anyone in submitted media has consented to be published on Gaisce.
