Congratulations to Audrey, Conor, Jack and Vasyl at @StewartsCare SAOL Hub who received their bronze awards last week! 👏

They did amazing work in Cherry Orchard Community Garden and litter picked in Drum Finn Park. Impactful work for themselves and their community 💛

This is the Hub's first group to complete their bronze award, which wouldn't of been possible without the hard work from their PAL Anthony and the @stewartscare staff Nicole, Gill and Ciara. Well done all! 😊

The heat is getting a bit more manageable but let’s stay on top of it! 🌤

Whip out the shades, reduce the glare and look cool - simple as. 😎

Dust off the hat sitting at the back of the closet 🧢

While your hair mostly protects your scalp, the skin on your head is still vulnerable to burning 😬

In fact, your scalp receives more direct UV exposure than any other part of your body simply because it is closest to the sun!

#BeatTheHeat #ProtectYourSkin #SunSafe #HeatwaveIreland
...

It’s so important to stay hydrated when it’s hot out.

Even when you don’t think you need it, keep water beside you and drink up!💧

#BeatTheHeat #HeatwaveIreland #BeSunSafe #Hydrate ☀️
...

Even when you can’t see the sun 🌤 or it’s evening time and not as hot out, you’re still exposed to them UV rays!

🧴Protect your skin and keep it covered in a high factor sun cream / spray, taking care to get your forehead, nose, ears and the likes of around your neck and up under the edges of your tshirt ✌️

Happy International Non-Binary People's Day 2022! This day is celebrated as part of Non-Binary Awareness Week. 💛

Today we celebrate those around us who identifies as non-binary, trailblazers who are creating more inclusive spaces and adopting standard practice, those who are visible and those who aren't. Today is also to raise awareness of the work that needs to be done to meaningfully support the non-binary community and in the issues they experience. 🤍

Gaisce as an organisation is continually learning in this space, and we are committed to the equality, diversity and inclusion of our young people as participants, and their President's Award Leaders (PALs). We want everyone to be able to see themselves in the Gaisce Award. 💜

In case anyone needs to hear this today, you are valid, loved and continue being true to you. 🖤

Much love from the Gaisce Team! ☺️
