Habitat for Humanity Ireland Becomes Gaisce Challenge Partner

Gaisce – The President’s Award is delighted to announce that Habitat for Humanity Ireland has become an official Gaisce Challenge Partner. Gaisce Challenge Partners support and involve young people to participate in one or more Gaisce Challenge Area, allowing Gaisce participants to use relevant activities to count towards achieving a Gaisce Award.

Habitat for Humanity Ireland’s vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. The charity helps families in 70 countries around the world to build strength, stability and self-reliance through shelter. Its Global Village Programme gives young people the opportunity to build homes in some of the world’s poorest communities – making a tangible and lasting difference to the lives of the families they build alongside. Volunteers also experience the unique and vibrant culture of the country they visit, learn about development and social justice issues, and at the same time transform their own lives.
