Gaisce – The President’s Award is delighted to announce the appointment of Eve O’Brien to the position of Learning Manager with the organisation.Â
Eve has been promoted to the position, having previously held the role of Development Officer with Gaisce since 2022. Prior to joining Gaisce, she worked in supporting participation in Dublin City Volunteer Centre; and worked in the area of policy and community development with the Irish Traveller Movement.Â
Eve graduated from UL with a BA in European Studies in 2015, and a Masters in Community and Youth Work from MU in 2018.Â
From Glasnevin in Dublin, Eve is passionate about addressing inequality, the empowerment of young people, and climate justice. She has a keen interest in sport and volunteering and has also played Senior Camogie for NaFianna and Dublin.Â
Commenting on the appointment, Karol Quinn, Head of Programme and Strategic Development at Gaisce said:Â Since joining Gaisce last year, Eve has really shown tremendous abilities in applying her passion and experiences to the team. Eve has demonstrated excellent leadership skills as part of the Gaisce Training team, and I have no doubt that she will bring a new drive to the role of Learning Manager. Â
As a result of Eve’s appointment, Gaisce will shortly begin the recruitment process for a new Development Officer.Â
