Gaisce partner with Teen-Turn and The Digital Hub

 

 

 

 

 

 

Gaisce are delighted to announce a new and exciting partnership with both Teen Turn and The Digital Hub. Teen Turn offer a programme for girls that they deliver with the support of The Digital Hub. The programme is called the Technovation Challenge and you can find out more details on the project here

The programme encourages girls, aged 12-to-18-years old, to work in teams to build a mobile app and develop a business plan. Participants are required to create apps that revolve around the themes of peace, poverty, environment, education, equality, and health. This will be supported by mentors and guided by the Technovation Challenge 12-week curriculum. Each team that reaches the finals will pitch their projects at Google’s Mountain View headquarters in California with (flights, accommodation and meals) paid for.

Gaisce are excited that this great programme will allow Gaisce participants to meet either their Personal Skill or Community Involvement section of their Gaisce Award.
