
At Gaisce, we love seeing young people take action for positive change. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Student Volunteer Ireland on Roots and Shoots, a programme that empowers students to make a difference locally and globally!
What is Roots and Shoots?
Roots and Shoots is a global initiative encouraging students to engage in volunteering projects that connect to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It’s about learning, leading, and creating impact while building skills and connections.
Who Can Join?
Students aged 15–25 from participating universities can take part. The programme requires around one hour per week, making it easy to fit alongside studies.
What You’ll Do:

Work on projects that create real-world impact
