Gaisce – The President’s Award is a self-development programme for young people which enhances confidence and well-being through participation in personal, physical and community challenges.

The Development Officer role at Gaisce focuses on expanding the reach of the Gaisce Award programme by engaging with schools, youth organisations, and community groups. This role involves recruiting and supporting President’s Award Leaders (PALs), fostering partnerships, and promoting participation among young people.

Working closely with the Programme Team, the Development Officer delivers training, supports PALs, manages relationships with key stakeholders, and contributes to special projects. The role requires strong networking, communication, and organisational skills to achieve growth targets and ensure the successful delivery of the Gaisce programme.

Place of Work

Gaisce HQ at Ratra House in the Phoenix Park.

Gaisce is currently piloting a hybrid working policy (candidate must have suitable work from home space with high quality broadband). The Candidate must be based in or within a commutable distance of Dublin.

Salary

Salary €35,000 + (commensurate with experience)

The starting salary for the minimum requirements of the role being met is €35,000 – further consideration shall be commensurate with the knowledge and experience of the successful candidate.

Hours of Work and Working Hours

Hours of work are 35 hours per week, excluding lunch. Normal working hours are between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend and evening work.
