President Catherine Connolly will today present 50 young people with the Gaisce Gold Award at a ceremony in Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA Venues), Royal Hospital Kilmainham. This year’s celebration is especially significant, marking both the 40th anniversary of Gaisce and President Connolly’s first time hosting the prestigious Gaisce Gold Award ceremony. Their participants have been very busy working on their Gaisce Awards Aaron Hughes, currently completing his Gold Award, made a recipe book as well as growing vegetables and herbs from seed as part of his Silver Award. Susie Spratt joins Gaisce as Project Manager of Wavelength

Susie Spratt has joined Gaisce - The President\'s Award as Project Manager of  Wavelength. Susie has a long-term commitment to education and youth leadership. She came to Gaisce from Concern Worldwide where she project managed the School’s Fast programme and developed their first youth leadership summer programme. Prior to that, Susie worked with ECO-UNESCO where she coordinated their national Young Environmental Awards that saw hundreds of students across Ireland developing a real love for the environment and a passion for taking action.
