Gaisce appoint new Community & Events Officer

Gaisce – The President’s Award has appointed Emily Wolfe as their new Community & Events Officer.

Emily hails from England, and grew up in Ashby de la Zouch – a small town in the heart of the National Forest, the setting for Robin Hood’s famous archery competition in Walter Scott’s Ivanhoe and home to fictional diarist Adrian Mole.

She has recently relocated from the United Kingdom where she spent 7 years working for the National Trust – a conservation charity and heritage membership organisation with a portfolio of over 500 properties and landscapes across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Emily worked in a variety of operational roles, most recently as Operations Manager at Lyveden New Bield, as Fundraising, Marketing & Communications Lead for the Lyveden Reconnected Project, and as Membership Lead and a member of the Steering Group of the LGBTQ+ Network.

Emily graduated from University of Hull with a BA in American Studies, achieved Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards with the Duke of Edinburgh Award and is passionate about inclusion, diversity and wellbeing.
