New Adventure Journey Supervisor Training Dates

Following the success of our first Adventure Journey Supervisor Training Course earlier this year, Gaisce – The President’s Award is excited to announce further training dates this Autumn in collaboration with Scouting Ireland. 

Gaisce’s Adventure Journey Supervisor Training will outline all of the necessary approaches required to ensure the safety of Gaisce participants and that all requirements are met in practice during the Gaisce Adventure Journey.

The Adventure Journey is a central element of the Gaisce Award programme at all Award levels.  The aim of the Adventure Journey is to inspire young people to develop a spirit of adventure and discovery by planning, training for, and completing an outdoor Adventure Journey as part of a team.

If you are interested in being the first to attend Gaisce’s Adventure Journey Supervisor Training, book your place now for €150 – please note that this fee is heavily subsidised by Gaisce for these initial pilot dates. The fee includes one night’s accomodation (camping or hostel accomodation) and breakfast, lunch (x2) and dinner (x2) throughout your stay.

For those interested in staying the night before the training workshop, accomodation will be available for the night before at no additional cost. The training is open to current President\’s Award Leaders and staff or volunteers with current Gaisce Operating Bodies.
